Ist es ok sich politisch zu positionieren?

Wir fragen: Ist es jemals in Ordnung es nicht zu tun?

Natürlich unterstützen wir die Initiative von “Wiederdonnerstag”. Angelehnt an die Donnerstags Demos aus dem Jahr 2000, gehen die Menschen wieder auf die Straße, um gegen die neue rechtslastige Regierung zu protestieren.

Wir sind dabei und schenken heißen Tee gegen kalte Füße und soziale Ungerechtigkeit aus. Da wir auch für die gute Sache keinen Müll machen, haben wir uns Pfandbecher von Cupsolutions gemietet.

Wer seinen eigenen Becher oder eine Socke für ein Altglas mitbringt, bekommt sogar einen extra Schuss. Aber nicht irgendeinen – nichts Geringeres als Curcama verfeinert auf Wunsch dein Heißgetränk. Wem das zu Wellness ist, bekommt auch gerne Rum;-)

Ihr findet unser Tee-Trashmobil im November und Dezember. Immer mittendrin, hell erleuchtet und höchst motiviert! Follow the heart!

Pfandbecher Rückgabe:

Jederzeit während der Demo und nach der Demo sind wir noch eine halbe Stunde vor Ort.

Bitte bringt die Becher Retour. Nur ein wiederverwendeter Becher ist ein guter Becher. Danke. Eure freiwilligen Spenden decken unsere Kosten und fließen in weitere Projekte gegen Müll!

Is it ok to position yourself politically?

We ask: is it ever okay not to do it?

Of course we support the initiative of „Wiederdonnerstag“. Based on the Thursday demos from the year 2000, people are back on the streets to protest against the new right-wing government.

We are there and give hot tea for cold feet and social injustice. Since we do not make any trash for the good cause, we have rented cups from Cupsolutions.

If you bring your own cup or a sock for an old glass, you even get an extra shot. But not any – nothing less than Curcama refined on request your hot drink. If that is to wellness, also like to get rum 😉

You will find our tea trash-mobile in November and December. Always in the middle, brightly lit and highly motivated! Follow the heart!

Cup Return:

At any time during the demo and after the Demo, we will stay another half an hour.

Please bring the cups back. Only a reused mug is a good mug. Thank you. Your voluntary donations cover our costs and flow into further projects against garbage!

FM4 Unlimited im Prater – The Party

Wir waren mit FM4 Unlimited im Prater und haben mal wieder ein bisschen im Müll gewühlt. Unsere Freunde Christian Martin und Joe Joe haben uns dabei musikalisch unterstützt.

Und wie man unschwer erkennen kann, brauchen wir dringend jemanden, der uns beim nächsten mal begleitet, vernünftigt dokumentiert und dem Filmmaterial einen feineren Schnitt verpasst. Bei Interesse einfach melden: info@worldtrash.org

We joined FM4 Unlimited into the Prater. There we digged again a bit in the trash. Our friends Christian Martin and Joe Joe supported us with some good tunes.

Zero Waste Festival FM4 with Penny FOX

Penny Fox was invited to Radio FM4 to talk about festivals. Of course it´s up to the organisators to change a lot in terms of sustainability, but also as a visitor, there is a lot we can do.

Acoustic Lakeside Festival 2018

Der ORF hat die Trash Crew aufs Lakeside Festival begleitet. Dieses macht Abfall-technisch schon vieles richtig. Es gibt Mehrweg Becher und erstaunlich wenig Müll am Boden.

Die Sauberkeit am Campingplatz sucht seinesgleichen und spricht in erster Linie für das Publikum, welches für eine bewusste Feierei bekannt ist.

Minuspunkte gibt es für die Gastronomie. Als Veganer/in wird man nicht verhungern, aber man sollte ein großer Fan der indischen Küche sein.

Leider wird alles auf Wegwerf-Geschirr serviert. Hier war die größte Enttäuschung das Gasthaus Seestüberl. Dort verteilt man äußerst großzügig Einwegboxen aus Styropor. Dieses mag als Dämmmaterial eine gute Bilanz aufweisen, hat aber im Einweg Sektor nichts zu suchen.

Wer hier Müll vermeiden will, bringt am besten sein eigenes Geschirr mit. Traurig war auch die Sparsamkeit beim Thema Aschenbecher. Da hält es das Lakeside wie alle anderen Festivals weltweit: Weniger ist mehr. Im Gastro Bereich sind wir dann fündig geworden. Allerdings haben die Einweg Aluminium Schalen unser Herz nicht höher schlagen lassen.

Zum Schluss wollen wir aber noch ein großes Lob aussprechen. Total begeistert hat uns die Aufstellung mobiler Komposttoiletten von Öklo. Mit diesen spart man jede Menge Wasser und verzichtet völlig auf Chemikalien. Einziger Nachteil: Die romantische Vollholz Ausstattung und die geruchsneutrale Atmosphäre, laden zum Verweilen ein. Sehr zum Unmut der wartenden Gäste in der Schlange. Tatsächlich wurde sogar dieser Artikel in einem Öklo verfasst. https://oeklo.at/

Das Lakeside macht 2019 eine Pause. Wir sind davon überzeugt, dass es 2020 mit neuen nachhaltigen Ideen glänzen wird.

The ORF accompanied the trash crew to the Lakeside Festival. They already fulfill some sustainable standards. They offer the drinks in reusable cups, and we found surprisingly little garbage on the ground.

The cleanliness of the campsite is outstanding and speaks primarily to the visitors, who are known for a more conscious celebration.

Minus points are available for the gastronomy. As a vegan you will not starve, but you should be a big fan of Indian food.

Unfortunately everything was served on disposable dishes. Here was the biggest disappointment the Restaurant Seestüberl. They distribute very generously disposable boxes made of Styrofoam. This may have a good record as insulating material, but should´t be used in the disposable sector.

If you want to avoid garbage, bring your own dishes. Sad was also the thrift on the subject ashtray. Lakeside holds it like all other festivals worldwide: less is more.

In the end we found some ashtrays in the Foodtruck area. However, the disposable aluminum bowls couldn’t put a smile on our faces.

Finally, we want to express a big praise. We were absolutely thrilled with the installation of mobile compost toilets from Öklo. With these you save a lot of water and completely dispenses with chemicals. The only drawback: The romantic solid wood furnishings and the smell-neutral atmosphere, invite you to linger. The Lakeside makes a break in 2019. We are convinced that it will shine in 2020 with new sustainable ideas.

Lighthouse Festival 2018

Die Trash Crew war beim Lighthouse Festival.

Gerade Festivals üben sich gerne in Umweltschmutz und produzieren jede Menge Müll.

Bei Festivals, welche direkt am Meer stattfinden, ist dies doppelt schlimm, da Zigarettenstummel, Strohhalme, Einwegbecher, Glitzer Make Up und Konfetti direkt im Meer landen.

In Zusammenarbeit mit den Veranstaltern konnten wir ein erstes kleines Paket schnüren, um das Lighthouse etwas grüner zu gestalten.

Especially festivals like to practice environmental pollution and produce a lot of garbage.
